You can Fix-It, with Circular Cleveland! Circular Cleveland will be hosting a series of workshops to explore how to repair different types of household items, to give people of all ages a hands-on opportunity to learn how our stuff works and how we can repair it when it’s not. Fix-it CLE workshops will be held twice a month:
-
2nd Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm at the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District, 4750 East 131 Street, Garfield Heights, OH 44105.
-
4th Mondays from 3-7 pm at Sears think[box] at Case Western Reserve University, 11201 Cedar Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
Repair and reuse are important ways to keep the natural resources that make up the things we buy–oil in plastics, fiber in clothing, wood and precious metals–in circulation and out of the landfill as long as possible. That’s a key strategy to transform our local economy from one based on extraction and waste into one based on natural systems. The circular economy prioritizes our lives and livelihoods, and the vitality of the environment that supports us.
